In using this website, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the Terms of Use
presented below. These Terms of Use are subject to change by UNIVERSUM EXPO
SRL, the organizer of Bucharest Tech Week (with both components - Business
Summits & Tech Expo), and GoTech World events, at any time at its discretion.
Please consult this page regularly.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Bucharest Tech Week event and the GoTech World event take place in a physical
format in Bucharest, Romania organized by Universum Expo SRL.
All further references to the events from this document will be done through the legal
organizer of the event, Universum Expo SRL.
This document sets out the terms and conditions between Universum Expo SRL and
you when you purchase a ticket, register for any event or conference, or participate in
any survey organized by Universum Expo SRL.
By purchasing a ticket registering for an event or conference organized by Universum
Expo SRL or participating in a survey you are agreeing to comply with and be bound
by these terms and conditions.
You should read this document carefully. Universum Expo SRL reserves the right to
change these terms and conditions at any time.
Any amended terms and conditions will be posted to these websites:
www.techweek.ro, www.techexpo.ro, and www.gotech.world.

DECLARATION OF CONSENT
I hereby give my consent for Universum Expo SRL to collect, process, and use my
data to process the purchase of my ticket and for any other use for which I have
consented.

1. PURCHASING TICKETS
I hereby give my consent for the mandatory and voluntary data collected from me with
the purpose of purchasing and/or registering for tickets sold by Universum Expo SRL,
as specified and required on the registration website pages of the events organized
by Universum Expo SRL.
I further give my permission for my user account details to be stored. I acknowledge
that I may provide Universum Expo SRL a reasonable timeframe to remove my details
at any time that I no longer wish to be stored.

I acknowledge and accept that my data will be used for commercial purposes by this
General Data Protection Regulation and Declaration of Consent and will be retained
and stored for events ticket selling.
Should you wish your data to be removed you must request Universum Expo SRL to
do so in writing. Requests will be processed within 30 days after being emailed to
contact@techweek.ro and/or contact@gotech.world.
All ticket prices found on the registration website pages are displayed in EUR, without
VAT. Invoices will be released in RON at the daily reference exchange rate of BNR
(The National Bank of Romania).
Confirmation of your registration for any of the events organized by Universum Expo
SRL will be sent to you via email by Universum Expo SRL once full payment has been
received. This email will also have your tax invoice attached. All tax invoices will be
sent only by email via automatic software according to Romanian laws.

2. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I hereby give my consent for Universum Expo SRL to process complimentary or
otherwise ticket registration of the mandatory data and any voluntary data I provide
when registering a complimentary admission ticket on the www.gotech.world &
MYCONNECTOR platform.
I further give my consent for the voluntary data provided. I acknowledge and accept
that my data will be used for commercial purposes by this General Data Protection
Regulation and Declaration of Consent and will be retained and stored for this
purpose.

3. ONLINE SURVEYS
I hereby give my consent for Universum Expo SRL to store any voluntary information
I may provide in the course of participating in an online survey. I acknowledge and
accept that my data will be used for commercial purposes by this General Data
Protection Regulation and Declaration of Consent and will be retained and stored for
this purpose.

4. USE OF PERSONAL DATA FOR ADVERTISING
PURPOSES
Universum Expo SRL will not sell, nor give your name, address, e-mail address, credit
card information, or personal information to any third party without your permission.
By registering at the events organized by Universum Expo SRL you consent that your
profile will be visible in MYCONNECTOR – the associated software networking

platform that facilitates communication, messages, and business meetings setup
before, throughout, and after the event.
You will be able to contact and to be contacted via email by the providers and visitors
present at the event that you registered for and also other partner events that will be
held under the events’ umbrella. Follow-up on these invitations will be at your
discretion.
I hereby give my consent for Universum Expo SRL to store the following types of data
as a profile for internal purposes:
• Mandatory and voluntary data collected when purchasing as shown on the
registration website pages of the events organized by Universum Expo SRL
• Mandatory and voluntary data collected when registering a complimentary admission
ticket as well as the date of the ticket registration.
• Voluntary disclosures when participating in online surveys.
• I give consent for Universum Expo SRL to analyze and use the data for targeted
advertising communications to me on relevant topics and products in connection with
Universum Expo SRL events and promotions.
• I consent to Universum Expo SRL to contact me by SMS and by phone about events
for which I am purchasing a ticket or registering an expression of interest.
• I consent to Universum Expo SRL to contact me by email about the event Universum
Expo SRL organizes or for which I am purchasing a ticket or registering an expression
of interest.
• I furthermore consent to the mathematical and statistical analysis of my data for
advertising purposes (scoring).
• I also consent for my data to be updated and supplemented with additional data.
Accordingly, I give my consent for Universum Expo SRL to collect data relating to me
personally from public domain sources and to store these along with my data that are
already under the control of Universum Expo SRL.
I give my consent for Universum Expo SRL to analyze this newly collected data
together with the data already under their control and to use the same for targeted
advertising communications to me on relevant topics and products in connection with
trade fairs, conferences, summits, workshops, exhibitions and/or exhibiting companies
of Universum Expo SRL events that might be of interest for me.
• I acknowledge that I may be photographed or filmed by Universum Expo SRL’s
official photographer and/or cameraman and I consent to my image being used in
promotional or event-related materials by Universum Expo SRL and its partners.
• I also give my consent that the information I provided in the registration form found
on the registration website pages of the events organized by Universum Expo SRL,
will be sent to the partners/exhibitors who will scan my badge with my permission, after
my interaction with them at their booths/sessions, at the event I registered for. I agree
that these partners/exhibitors will scan my badge to contact me after the event.

5. PERSONAL INFORMATION

When personal information (e.g. name, e-mail address, work address, phone number,
job title, company, and other contact information) is provided through the Universum
Expo SRL events websites or directly by e-mail, you give consent to Universum Expo
SRL for Processing and administering your data to perform all necessary actions to
give effect to your request or instructions Retaining a record of incoming and outgoing
communications (e.g. email) to process your data as outlined in this Privacy
Statement. Universum Expo SRL may also collect the following information about you:
• Information that you provide by filling in forms on our websites;
• Name and physical shipping contact and payment addresses;
• Email address and telephone numbers;
• Credit card, debit card, or bank information;
• Date of birth;
• Tax identification or VAT number (if applicable)
If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence. Information we receive
from credit reference and fraud detection agencies or other third parties we may use
to verify your information. Please complete surveys for research purposes, although
you do not have to respond to them.
We may also keep personal preferences related to events and information that you
share with us with your consent via third parties such as Facebook correspondence,
testimonials, photos, blogs, writings, customer satisfaction surveys, or customer
service communications that you may send us.

6. RIGHT OF ACCESS
You have a right to be given a copy of any of your data held by Universum Expo SRL
by the Data Protection Acts subject to certain exceptions. Requests for a copy of your
data can be emailed to Info or addressed to contact@techweek.ro and/or
contact@gotech.world.

7. RIGHT OF RECTIFICATION OR ERASURE
If Universum Expo SRL holds incorrect information about you that was originally
submitted by you through this website, you have the right to have the data amended.
Further, you have the right to have any information you have sent to us via this website
erased.
To request your right to rectification and/or erasure please send your request to
contact@techweek.ro, and/or contact@gotech.world.
Also, you can unsubscribe to our newsletters by clicking the buttons inserted in the
newsletters you receive from Universum Expo SRL or you can require your details to
be deleted from our database by phone, at +40 733 062 591.

Requests should include:
• Your name and address;
• A description of the specific personal data you wish rectified.
Please note that Universum Expo SRL is not required to rectify or erase your data
where doing so would prevent you from meeting your contractual obligations to
Universum Expo SRL or where Universum Expo SRL is required to process (including
retaining) your data for a lawful purpose by the Data Protection Acts.

8. SECURITY
The security of your Personal Information is important to us. However, no method of
transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your
Personal Information, Universum Expo SRL cannot guarantee its absolute security in
the case of a hazard.
When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our registration
or order forms, we encrypt that information. Universum Expo SRL reserves the right
to modify this General Data Protection Regulation and Declaration of Consent at any
time.
Any changes will be posted on our home page and other places we deem appropriate
so that you are aware of the changes.

9. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
All purchases of tickets for conferences and events are non-refundable in their entirety.
Your ticket remains the property of Universum Expo SRL and is a personal revocable
license, which may be withdrawn, and admission refused at any time upon a refund of
the printed registration price.
In the unlikely event of cancellation of a conference or event, the liability of Universum
Expo SRL Is limited to the share of paid registration fees that remains after credit card
and payment processing fees have been incurred and deducted.
It is strictly forbidden for any company, organization, or attendee to attempt to host or
organize any event in conjunction with, contiguous to, or purporting to be related to
the events organized by Universum Expo SRL or its affiliates without the express prior
permission and cooperation of Universum Expo SRL.
In the event of a breach of these terms, any tickets purchased by the organizer and
their affiliates will be rendered null and void, without refund, and Universum Expo SRL
may also seek damages.

The tickets purchased are for your personal use or that of your business only and may
not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances, including
but not limited to use as part of any promotion or competition.
Where there has been any resale or attempted resale of any tickets (or any other
breach of this term), we reserve the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate
effect. We reserve the right to cancel any ticket purchase made by any person or body
whom we reasonably believe to be associated with any ticket broker.
Universum Expo SRL reserves the right to refuse admission to any event or
conference for any behavior, that it deems unacceptable, or for breach of the terms
and conditions. Universum Expo SRL will not be responsible for any tickets that are
lost or stolen.
The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment at events and
conferences is prohibited. You consent to film and sound recording as attendees at
any event or conference.
Universum Expo SRL will not be liable for any loss injury or damage to any person or
property howsoever caused (save for death or personal injury as a result of Universum
Expo SRL’s negligence or for any other type of liability that cannot by law be excluded
or limited.) Name changes will be facilitated free of charge up to 30 days before the
event's commencement.
No name changes will be facilitated 7 days before the event's commencement and the
ticket price will be forfeited. For questions about registration or assistance with any

10. EVENT CANCELLATION, POSTMENT &
SUBSTITUTION POLICY
Universum Expo SRL is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a
substitution, alteration, cancellation, or postponement of an event.
Universum Expo SRL shall assume no liability whatsoever in the circumstances that
an event is canceled, rescheduled, or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God,
unforeseen occurrence, or any other event that renders the performance of an event
impracticable, illegal, or impossible.
For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to war,
fire, labor strike, extreme weather, or other emergency.

Please note that while speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing,
circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may necessitate substitutions,
alterations, or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics.
As such, Universum Expo SRL reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised
speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever.
Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.
Once a successful purchase transaction has been completed, tickets are delivered in
electronic softcopy via email to the email address nominated by the purchaser. For
some ticket types, it may be necessary to complete the required information – such as
the e\attendee's name – before the tickets can be issued.
The ticket acts as a receipt for the transaction and can be used to redeem entry at the
event listed on the ticket. A printed hard-copy ticket or an electronic soft-copy ticket
detailing the reference number can be used to register at the event.
Romanian law governs these terms and conditions and any dispute, is subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the Romanian Courts.
